My Philosophy

Why This Work Matters

Choosing a college is one of the most meaningful — and expensive — decisions made by adolescents and their families. I believe working with an advisor is worth the financial investment. However, I also believe that college admissions support should not be limited to those who can easily afford it, and I welcome referrals for pro bono clients who could benefit from my guidance.

What Clients Say About Working With Me

Students and families tell me that I am supportive, strategic, motivating and responsive.

My Approach

I consider myself a mentor, a researcher and a project manager. I prioritize supporting each student in ways that strengthen confidence and family harmony. By building a strong connection and providing steady, individualized guidance, I offer a trusted third-party perspective that brings balance to the college process.

Integrity Matters

Results are important, but so is integrity. You can count on me to abide by the ethical principles and best practices developed by the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Insider Knowledge

College admissions is constantly evolving. Through campus visits, collaboration with colleagues, and ongoing professional development, I stay current on the trends and changes that matter, so families can move forward with confidence.

A Perspective That’s Informed by Experience

I have valuable experience from multiple perspectives: counseling students in a large public high school, reviewing undergraduate applications for a research university, and most recently, parenting my oldest child as he navigated his own college admissions journey. I now know firsthand the many benefits of receiving empathetic and steady guidance during this process.
